George W. Bush TARGETS Donald Trump?

George W. Bush Is Endorsing an Anti-Trump GOP Candidate

George W. Bush, a former president, has been open about disliking former President Donald Trump. Bush has criticized Trump for what he sees as the decline of the Republican Party and a turn away from traditional conservative beliefs since the riot at the Capitol Building on January 6, 2021. Currently, Bush is endorsing a Republican senatorial candidate in Colorado who opposes Trump.

The contender Joe O’Dea, who has often declared he would prefer Trump not run for president again, has announced that the former president has joined his fundraising team. According to reports, Bush will campaign for O’Dea instead of keeping quiet, as is his habit.

The data, though, seems to indicate that O’Dea will want more than Bush’s backing to succeed in the Centennial State. He is currently polling 10 points behind Democratic incumbent Senator Michael Bennet. Bush’s contributions, however, are part of a very effective fundraising campaign by O’Dea’s team; the candidate is said to have raised $3 million between July and September.

Donald Trump sees Bush as an enemy because he comes from possibly the most well-known Republican family in the US.

What do you think the party’s future may hold due to Bush’s backing of anti-Trump candidates?
