White House Reports Biden Went on Trip That Never Happened
Last week, the White House discussed President Joe Biden’s visit to the Mexican border in response to criticism of his failed immigration policy. The plot has just one flaw, though. It never took place.
On November 30, a reporter questioned Karine Jean-Pierre, the press secretary for the White House, about whether the president will accept House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) request for a joint trip to the border. He’s been there, Jean-Pierre retorted. Additionally, since he gained office.
Although people make mistakes—Biden is the ideal example—what Jean-Pierre said was not a mistake. She didn’t mispronounce anything or use the wrong name. She just made up a fact, and that is a lie. She also stated an easily verifiable fact, making her assertion a foolish falsehood. Why would the White House assert something so easy to refute?
