Trump Advisor Says He Should Testify Because He Has “Nothing to Hide”

The select committee looking into the alleged Capitol Hill riot is attempting to generate as much publicity as possible to release a report before the end of the year as the midterm elections are just around the horizon and Republicans are sure to regain control of the House. Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) recently led the initiative to subpoena former President Donald Trump amid mainstream media hype. The panel was recently turned around by a top advisor, though.

Alina Habba, a current senior advisor and former Trump attorney, recently spoke with Newsmax presenter Eric Bolling. Habba responded that the former president should comply with the committee since “he has nothing to hide” when questioned about the subpoena.

Despite efforts by the mainstream media to portray the former president as having reservations about the demand for documents and testimony, Habba added that Trump “has no issue being deposed” by the select committee and “answering questions” regarding what transpired at the US Capitol Building on January 6, 2021.

Regarding the subpoena issued by the select committee, Trump has several options. He may emulate the actions of some of his admirers, such as Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC). His evidence in a probe into potential election-related irregularities in Georgia has been temporarily blocked thanks to a recent decision by Associate Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas in his favor.

On the other hand, the former president has been open about his desire to participate in a live hearing to demonstrate to the world that he has nothing to fear from continuous Democratic-led attempts to discredit his legacy and continuing political influence.
