Liz Cheney Endorsement Backfires Badly
Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) lost favor with the Republican Party because she supported the impeachment of former President Donald Trump. To ensure her supporters wouldn’t choose Cheney again, Trump supported her opponent, Harriet Hageman, and he was successful. Cheney then concentrated on eradicating those who supported the former president’s allegations of electoral theft. It has yet to be to her advantage.
Cheney recently attacked Arizona’s Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake. In the state, the former GOP leader ran advertisements pleading voters to vote against Lake and Mark Finchem, the party’s nominee for secretary of state. Voters instead gave money. Lake asserts that since the advertisement debuted, her campaign has received over $500,000 and that this is entirely due to Cheney
Voters appear to oppose Cheney so far, but next Tuesday’s election will really put it to the test when they go to the polls.
