Democrats Gravely Concerned After Fetterman Tanks Debate Against Dr. Oz
After a car crash discussion, a crucial Senate race that appeared to be headed for the Democrats is now highly competitive. On Tuesday, the candidates for the open Senate seat in Pennsylvania faced off, with the Republican coming out on top. Even left-wing observers today think that the debate was a grave error.
After the debate, one independent voter claimed they had been considering voting for Fetterman but had since “completely moved to the Oz side.” Even registered Democrats reportedly have second thoughts, with one stating that she is “not 100% sure” of her voting intentions.
Chris Kofinis, a strategist for the Democratic Party, claims that the debate could have killed Fetterman’s chances of winning and that anyone on the campaign staff who approved of it “should be fired or never work again.” Before the discussion, Fetterman held a 4% advantage over his opponent. That ought to have been enough to secure his victory, but the margin is small enough that Tuesday’s performance might give Oz the edge on election day.
