Elon Musk, a multibillionaire businessman, has stirred controversy since taking control of the Twitter social media site. His purported attempts to turn some of the business’ offices into beds so that workers may put in more hours have been the most recent topic of contention. The Department of Building Inspection in San Francisco and Musk are currently engaged in litigation over this claim.
Department officials reportedly launched an investigation after learning about the conversion attempt in the offices. Workers claimed that when they arrived at the office, they discovered some rooms furnished with mattresses and other necessities for daily living. After receiving a formal complaint, an investigation was launched to establish if Twitter had improperly converted office space into housing quarters. Patrick Hannan, a department representative, said that if the business violates the pertinent rules, officials will visit the location and issue a notice of violation.
Musk reacted to the news of the probe by blaming Mayor London Breed of San Francisco for concentrating on this ostensibly little matter when the city is dealing with pressing severe social issues.
